H1N1 - making me feel better
  Ok this requires explination.

 H1N1 is a mild virus.
H1N1 shows pandemics really can happen in the 21st century
H1N1 shows virus really does spread like the text books say.
H1N1 had a hospital in Queens NY open a triage tent.
H1N1 shows people, goverments are not, not prepared.
 H1N1 has gotten people talking

On the downside - I was told to stop talking about it at work. "We have real problems at work and there are professionals taking care of this"  I'm back to posting things on the bullitin board at work.

BTW - we have another blood drive coming up so that will be a time to pass out information.

 Three conclusions:

 1) Everything will be fine using TPTB plans as long as we the people do not have to do anything different in our lives.
  2) Those who are prepared really will suffer less than those who are not.
  3) With the H5N1 warnings and now the H1N1 practice / demonstration there really will be no excuse.

One note: No word on next weeks, May 27, 2009, pandemic PlanFirst webcast. Ive asked but no response.

Why is H1N1 making me feel better - some have learned, some more have prepared and our FWEET / blogs / Twitter have been tested. While the 6:30 news still IMO seems concerned about 'panic' people really want to know. People have not panicked. Also schools have closed. Whoo Hoo! Salute to them.
