Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for your participation in last week's seminal Pandemic Information Sharing & Community Resilience Workshop hosted at the National Library of Medicine.
On June 26, 2009, major steps were taken towards building a coalition of willing participants internal and external to government to better our nation's planning and response efforts in support of the upcoming 2009 flu season.
For those of you who were unable to attend the workshop, the full proceedings can be viewed via webinar at:
http://workshop.mphise.org
We will be posting additional materials, including archives of the breakout sessions and related PowerPoint slides on a collaboratory in the near future. Details will be forthcoming.
Additionally, we will keep you apprised of several meetings leading up to the September 1st 2009 mid-term initiative review of the 120 day mission, which starts today, July 1 2009.
We look forward to working with you to mitigate the impact of the second wave of SO-H1N1 this fall, and will be in touch soon to begin an active engagement across all our focus groups and communities.
Dr. Michael McDonald
