Hi,

My son who is (7) has possibly had the Flu twice in the last 30 days. The first Flu was mild and only lasted 2-3 days. In the interim he was sick with Strep and had a fever of 104. Now 2 weeks later he has the Flu symptoms again. This time we are on day 3, and he has been given Tamiflu (he has Asthma). Just wanted to know other peoples Flu experiences were.

Tamiflu was given to our 2 grandchildren

within 12 hours of first symtoms of diagnosed swine flu, which is rampant in their community now. They both recovered in 4 days even though the flu hit them in different weeks. Their ages are 9 and 11. Thank heavens that their family doctor was quick to see them and prescribe the Tamiflu. Doctor's children had also had the flu recently and the doctor was very up to date on how to treat it.

4 Days!

I was surprised. My teen had the Tamiflu within 3 hours of symptoms presenting. That was a Wednesday at 2:30 for the first dose of Tamiflu. He was feeling well enough on Saturday to want to go out to see his friends. Which he did not do because I would not let him. However, he was well by Sunday.
