This was conveyed by the Director General of Disease Control and Environmental Health (P2PL), Prof. dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama when accompanying RI Research and Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Muhammad Hatta when reviewing building Safety Biology Laboratory (BSL) 3 which is a collaboration between the Ministry of Health with Airlangga in Surabaya (16/03). According to Prof. dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama, this plant will be capable of producing 20 million bird flu vaccine for 10% of Indonesia's population if there is a pandemic. The plant also will produce influenza vaccines.

"Bird Flu pandemic potential," says Prof.dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama. Emphasized, the construction of the plant is beneficial for public health, increase foreign exchange and improve the performance of Indonesia in health at a global level. Therefore, need the support of all parties concerned.
