http://bisnis-jabar.com/index....

March 5, 2012 | By :: Dinda Wulandari

BANDUNG (business-jabar.com): The number of fowl residents of West Java who died suggests that lack of public awareness of a clean lifestyle.

Head of Department of Animal Husbandry of West Java Koesmayadie TP said it should be people who raise chickens or other poultry to implement a clean and healthy living behaviors.

"The death of these chickens showed that the public awarness of the clean lifestyle is still lacking," he told reporters in Bandung today.

He added the public is increasingly ignoring sanitation or environmental health factors for dealing with the transition season in which rain fell continuously.

"The climate is extreme. Temperature difference within a day it can be very far away, chicken endurance was decreased. It may be that the virus is mutating as we do not keep clean. Community should continue to be reminded to do their best biosecurity and improving sanitary enclosure best, "he said.

He suspected a virus mutation has occurred because a lot of positive rapid test results were countered by a negative PCR result of H5N1.

Mutations could have occurred because of the many wild birds that are mutated from the very cold north towards the equator for warmth.

Bird cages owned by Mrs. Wawas, is about 30 meters from the house of Mrs. Eti. As is known, on Sunday (03.04.2012), the officer did depopulation is limited to 36 chickens owned by Mrs. Eti.

As many as five of which were found died suddenly, shortly before the destruction.[/b] Earlier on Saturday (3/3/2012), there are three owned by Mrs. Eti birds that died suddenly.

While public awareness relaxes, the more virulent bird flu virus

Indonesia is still a country with bird flu cases in the world. with a total of 186 cases and 154 deaths. Among researchers in Indonesia suspect bird flu virus (H5N1) in Indonesia has been mutated. The virus is feared more dangerous than before. Yet public awareness of the dangers of the virus is more relaxed.

Since the first outbreak and reached its peak in 2006, the government has scheduled a lot of efforts to prevent bird flu cases.

Government of DKI Jakarta which is the region with the highest cases of bird flu after West Java, has even imposed a ban on poultry in residential areas since 2007. But in fact there are many people who raise poultry in their homes.

As in the village Ciracas, East Jakarta, there are still many people who keep birds such as birds, ducks and chickens either individually or collectively. Cage birds were only a few meters from their house.

To curb this, the government of DKI Jakarta are often staged sweeping raids or poultry in residential areas. Based on local regulations and governors, officers unpack and residents (slaughtered birds that are kept in residential areas. According Sabdo Kurnianto, from the local farm east of Jakarta, this operation is their degree of four times a week.

Lack of awareness of citizens against the risk of transmission of H5N1 virus from domestic birds, they are becoming events increase the risk of bird flu in the country.

Because according to the bird flu expert from the University of Airlangga, CA Nidom, the H5N1 virus in Indonesia has become malignant. Nidom said the bird flu virus can be found in healthy birds so that the signs of H5N1 virus infected poultry may not be visible.

With the character of an increasingly virulent H5N1 virus, the CA Nidom suspected cases of bird flu in Indonesia is actually much higher than the government reported figures.
Therefore, he argues, society should increase alertness with flu symptoms do not take lightly felt. The Government should also provide that the bird flu drug stock affordable to the public.

However, according to Nidom, anticipating residents to minimize the presence of birds in their environment remains a key to the prevention of bird flu in the community.

http://m.inilah.com/read/detai...
Cianjur, Indonesia:  The Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Marine Cianjur began to be aware of the spread of avian influenza virus (IA), following the discovery of cases in some areas in West Java.  Although there is no endemic spread of bird flu virus, there are some areas in Cianjur where an outbreak could happen anywhere.  anywhere).  Head of the Animal Husbandry Department of Fisheries and Marine Cianjur Yanto Hartono said there are four districts that had the spread of AI virus during 2006-2010.  The four townships are Cilaku, Cibeber, Karangtengah, and Campaka.

"In Cianjur there are no AI virus endemic areas.  Its only that an outbreak could happen anywhere.  There are sporadic occurrences of this outbreak, "said Yanto to INILAH.COM in Cianjur Regency Complex, Wednesday (07/03/2012).

To anticipate the spread of AI virus, Yanto admitted that he had sent a letter of instruction to all poultry farms, especially the chicken farm to always maintain the cleanliness of the cage.  Especially during the rainy season.

"We have also been instructed that they keep the poultry caged and not wild, fearing that if they caught the bird flu virus it would spread quickly," he said.

According to Yanto, in some of the sampled districts, efforts are also made to disinfect chicken cages.  Four districts that had outbreaks, said Yanto, are the focus of attention.

"Hence, during the period 2011 to February 2012, there were no events due to AI virus.  We continue to intensify efforts to prevent this by doing disinfectant, odor reducing enclosure with IM 4," he explained.

If one day they find a mass death of poultry, Yanto admitted, they will definitely do a rapid test (rapid test) with the involvement of various parties.  That is, the rapid test is not the only positive thing you do to make sure whether or not there is a suspicion of bird flu virus infection.

"We always apply the test three times,  if it is later found there is no alleged spread of bird flu virus.  This is to ensure that poultry deaths were due to bird flu virus or not," he concluded.

Cases of bird flu is now widespread in Dana Mbojo penetrated. Five villages in the Milky City tested positive for bird flu virus after hundreds of chickens died, suddenly. Namely Lelamase Village, Rontu, Penanae, Rabadompu West, and Sarae. Joint City and County of cases in the Milky striking fact that the Milky practically surrounded by the threat of the deadly virus. Plus is part of the breeding bird community life.

Cases of bird flu should be the focus of attention. Used as a treatment priority. If during the party and the City Government has been to socialize Bima mengelaim characteristics, impacts, and ways of handling, it is now time for portions to be improved.

Always better to maximize resources to address the process, rather than "deep-throat" in treatment. The efforts made by government officials under the public gaze wants to comfort is not compromised. Aspiration pressure for signal handling are encouraged to increase awareness.

Is it a case of bird flu has been included in the category of Extraordinary Events? Most of the public raises a question. There are certain measures that have become terms of the establishment. But, no matter how level, "red flags" decent priced to mark the movement of cases this sudden chicken deaths. Toddlers Are not there two symptoms identified from the show? Is not from the day we were treated to news of the sudden death of chickens from different regions? Is not the trend also worries residents have crept up, so it needs to accelerate the response.

The Government is expected to be widely echoed this treatment to ensure that the public understand the real threat is all around them. In addition, tightening control over who enters the Milky birds on various channels. Collective measures will determine the strength Attack power to block the movement of bird flu cases. Remember, it's already there and the danger in sight.

"We are still awaiting lab results on two areas," he explained, "to determine if N is in the poultry that died suddenly, N1 or N number."

Test samples, said Cipto, are very important.  It is not only to know the symptoms that are suspected of having avian bird flu alone, but rather on the symptoms that caused implications for humans.  If there is an H5N1 diagnosis from the symptoms samples, they must maintain and deal with the impact directly on humans.  They certainly will provide a special sterile space and keep citizens safe from the reach of other patients served in the hospital.  Hospital director will coordinate with the local Bima government, he explained, if they find patients with bird flu symptoms.  For the safe care in hospital, they will be transferred to Sanolo.

Masks prevent bird fluBengkulu - It was unexpected that one day we will establish the diagnosis of suspected bird flu (H5N1) in a human. The first experience occurred last week when me and my colleague, dr. Edi Hidayat, also from Aceh, which was sent on duty at the Hospital Muhammad Yunus (RSMY) Bengkulu as an Internal Medicine Resident of Palembang Unsri FK, examining a patient.

As reported by People's Daily Bengkulu, (6/03) of a patient, MP, women aged 24 years died from bird flu infected. The next day, Metro TV also broadcast the same news. Yes, we're the first one to suspect the patient suspect bird flu. We began to suspect the patient's condition is declining very rapidly, within hours, and also no response to drugs that have been granted.

Patients experiencing severe shortness, high fever, and coughing. The results again showed a thoracic X-ray picture of the extensive consolidation in the left lung and an overview perselubungan homogeneous in basal right lung.

Laboratory results also strongly support that direction. Until we are assured that these patients had a viral infection, but virus what can make a very rapid deterioration?

Initially we were hesitant because of the interviews with patients and their families do not get a history of contact with poultry. Then me and dr. Edi Hidayat discussion, re-read the literature on avian influenza. Until we finally conclude the patient is likely infected with H5N1, the bird flu virus. Immediately, we report these findings to Konsulen Specialist Internal Medicine, and the patient immediately transferred to the isolation room.

To prove whether or not the bird flu case, then the local health office RSMY and send samples to the laboratory research and development of the Ministry of Health in Jakarta. A few days later the results obtained, and it turns out positive for bird flu, H5N1. But unfortunately, the patient died, despite being first can get the maximum handling.

From BBC.co.uk I got the news that the bird flu patient deaths in Bengkulu last week making Indonesia the country with the highest number of H5N1 victims in the world, according to World Health Organization, WHO. Bengkulu - It was unexpected that one day we will establish the diagnosis of suspected bird flu (H5N1) in a human. Edi Hidayat, also from Aceh, which was sent on duty at the Hospital Muhammad Yunus (RSMY) Bengkulu as an Internal Medicine Resident of Palembang Unsri FK, examining a patient.

As reported by People's Daily Bengkulu, (6/03) of a patient, MP, 24-year-old woman died from bird flu infected. Keesokan harinya, MetroTV juga menayangkan berita yang sama. The next day, Metro TV also broadcast the same news.

We began to suspect the patient's condition is declining very rapidly, within hours, and also no response to drugs that have been granted.Patients experiencing severe shortness, high fever, and coughing. The results again showed a thoracic X-ray picture of the extensive consolidation in the left lung and an overview perselubungan homogeneous in basal right lung. Laboratory results also strongly support that direction. Until we are assured that these patients had a viral infection, but virus what can make a very rapid deterioration?

Initially we were hesitant because of the interviews with patients and their families do not get a history of contact with poultry.Edi Hidayat discussion, re-read the literature on avian influenza.

From BBC.co.uk I got the news that the bird flu patient deaths in Bengkulu last week making Indonesia the country with the highest number of H5N1 victims in the world, according to World Health Organization,  Of the 349 deaths from bird flu worldwide since 2003, 155 of which occurred in Indonesia.
