I thought it might be useful for a thread on how to make things useful in preparing for a pandemic. A Do It Yourself thread, so to speak.
I'd like to make this a community effort, and not only a place to post how to do things, but a place to ask questions, as well. In fact, I'd like to emphasize the question part.

Use this diary to help build a list of "How To" sites. How To start prepping, How To cook your preps, How To filter water and store it, How To shelter-in-place. We all need help with at least some of these things.
There is also a Wiki page here where we can list and store all of your ideas.
Please jump in and help!

But, still I get the impression that many dont have a reliable plan for how to cook and stay warm during prolonged blackouts. Which in my opinion is esssential for coping. It need ahead action, so it would be nice to have a plan on hand, using the things we cant live whitout, the tins.
So I am hereby intruducing: The Preppers Stove!

The idea behind the simple mask is based on the sad fact that the modern world is unable to supply in large enough amounts disposable equipment like masks. Its a fact that the majority of all population will not SIP, and all those people will need masks in an enormous quantity. Based on experience from Asia, when running out people starts to make their own?
The fluwiki is a great resource, and our credibility is rising. A collective effort to make a DIY (do it your self) instruction seems like a very good idea, called for numerous times.
