Hello, I am new to the Flu Wiki forum. Have been an on and off lurker for quite awhile. Just happened to stop by today for some casual reading. Read and commented on some interesting items, and thought to just go on to another site.
Then whoa, my fiancee just returned from the hardware store and wanted to play "guess what I just heard on the radio." He went on to say that he heard a PSA warning people about bird trafficking and how it could bring illnesses into the country. It specifically, stated the Avian Flu, and then went on to clarify that Avian Flu meant the bird flu.
Well, that perked my ears a bit. Maybe that explains how there have been two separate incidents where baby Zebras have been found after falling out of a vehicle on a major throughfare. Maybe there is a whole bunch of animal trafficking going on through my very international airport!!! And this from THE city that is the home of the CDC, and a bunch of other crap I wish I didn't know existed.
So now, Georgia has a PSA about bird flu as it is related to bird trafficking. I am on the search to find out if this PSA is national or just confined to Georgia.
Well, anyway this PSA just got me thinking about a need to get involved, and so here I am.

List of chronic conditions, which ones have substitutes, which ones do not and which ones require trained medical help. A list of web sites will follow. The list of chronic medical conditions turned out to be a long, very long, debate. This is a start - please add your thoughts.

Ok for the last five days I have heard the same commerical on the air on two different channels. It was a public health warning dealing with flu prevention by the State of Florida Department of Health.

Ok I took the Excel spread sheet from DemfromCT and placed the 2000 population numbers from each county in the State of Florida in it.

Ok lets look over the list and work on the second most important catagory: Medical.
Look over what I have posted, review the items let me know if I have gone wrong, and where.
If the list has too much or not enough items.
It is set up for a family of 4 who will SIP at home for 3 months with 1 person getting sick (Not Bird Flu)
I want to set up a list for a bug out bag later.

Watched a commerical last night you may have seen it and did not connect the dots. It was talking about flu, they stated the steps to take i.e. see doc, take meds etc. All this while a penguin (bird) was moving around on ice.
