I recently came across this document from New Zealand , and I couldn't find any reference to it on the FluWiki or the Forum (maybe I missed it).  Although it came out 9 months ago, I think it's worth sharing.

It's a publication of New Zealand's National Ethics Advisory Committee (NEAC), titled "Ethical Values for Planning and Responding to a Pandemic."  PDF version is at http://www.neac.heal...

Prepping For More Than 3 Months

One thing that's been debated (somewhat vigorously at times) is going beyond the 2 weeks advocated by pandemicflu.gov and, indeed to prep for three months, six months or longer.

Use this diary to discuss why the longer preps make sense, how to persuade new or reluctant preppers to do so and, if you have them, give references as to where you can learn how to do the long distance prep advocated.

The Public Engagement Project ASTHO-Syracuse Meeting

By suggestion of the community, the poll has been held until further discussion of the implications in a forthcoming post
can someone move the ASTHO threads please, tomorrow?  I would like to make them available for further discussion, but I'm having major PC crises here, yes, crises in plural, so I may not have any access for a couple days.

I'm going to be in the Washington meeting on Wed, it would be great if people continue to post their comments even if I may not be able write back.  That way, I can still read them when I get access.  Dem can you make a note of that and ask people to post their opinions?  Thanks.

Or everything might work out well with my PC, and I'll be one jolly person....SusanC
