Now that it's picking up, what is your PPF?
PPF = Personal Pucker Factor
Note: The humorous(perhaps) comments do not necessarily reflect your feeling of severity. They are there to give a feeling of escalation. Your individual PPF is just how anxious you feel on a scale of 0 to 10.

Peak UK temperature are at the end of July, beginning of August.

The cases in the UK are doubling each week with no obvious influence from the temperature. The schools are the main source of this rapid increase but they don't close for the summer break for about another month.

Apart from school closure as a mitigation strategy for the spread of pandemic flu, I have always proposed closing the schools so they can be used as triage centers when the hospitals get overwhelmed.

maybe we can this questionnaire from University of Alberta here too
can we enable anonymous replies please, so only the total counts
are published later ? Maybe email to a mod.
Please just list the question number and the replies separated by
"," , one number per line, 9 lines maximum.
Then it's easy to count the answers by computer.
So, if you answer all questions, your post or email would
contain 58 numbers from {1,2,3,4,5} arranged in 9 lines
each line preceded by the 2-digit question number.
All numbers separated by ","
(my suggestion)
when you post it here, you can edit your post for some days,
(I think)
even delete it after it had been counted so it won't be
in the archive, if you want

will WHO increase the phase level within 1 year ?
what do you estimate is the probability that WHO will
go to phase 4,5, or 6 within the next 12 months ?
so, as compared to the previous poll, this one includes the
cases where some phase is left out with a gap,
e.g. if WHO goes directly from 3 to 5 or 6.
please vote only on one forum

The moving process of the wiki was time consuming, and Melanie was busy with other things. Some period before the transfer I created some sketches for a fluwiki logo. The meassage I got was to wait. Now I think is the time to have a discusion on the sketch.
recently I have noticed some need for graphics in the work of bloggs, campagins etc.
All institutions have, and need this kind of material..

pandemic in 2007 ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
how likely do you think is it that a flu-pandemic starts in 2007 ?
common pandemic counts are used, i.e. 3 pandemics in the last century:
1918,1957,1968
(1900,1946,1977 don't count)
I start the same poll at other forums, please only vote once.
